To reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, since March 31, the Chinese Embassy/Consulate-General in Saudi Arabia updated the requirements for the applications of Health code or Health Declaration Form(here in after referred to as "Health code") for China-bound passengers in view of current epidemic situation:
I.Pre-departure quarantine
Company employees are required to take a 21-day closed-loop quarantine before their departure,Other passengers should take self closed-loop quarantine at home or hotel for 14 days before boarding .
II.Pre-departure tests and submission materials requirements
1.For applicants who have completed the full course of COVID-19 vaccines for more than 14 days :
【Testing Requirements】 one PCR test (Nasopharyngeal swab,same below) on the 7th day before departure at any institutions designated by the Chinese Embassy/Consulate-
General in KSA except Al Arab Medical Laboratories and double nucleic acid tests （Collect two samples at the same time and use two testing reagents for detection respectively） within 48 hours before boarding by Al Arab Medical Laboratories .
【Submit Materials】
1) negative nucleic acid test result on the 7th day before departure.
2) negative double nucleic acid tests results within 48 hours before boarding.
3) Vaccination certificate for the whole process.
4) General Materials (Specific content exclude later)
a.Statement of Commitment on Personal Health Monitoring (see Annex 1).
b.Personal valid international travel document information page, KSA visa or residence permit page(if applicable), itinerary of air travel.
c.Other materials required by the Embassy/Consulate.
2.For applicants who have not been Fully vaccinated against COVID-19:
【Testing Requirements】one PCR test on the 7th day before departure at any institutions designated by the Chinese Embassy/Consulate-General except Al Arab Medical Laboratories , and tests for both PCR and IgM within 48 hours before boarding by Al Arab Medical Laboratories ,the results must be negative.
【Submit Materials】
1) negative nucleic acid test result on the 7th day before departure.
2) negative nucleic acid test and IgM anti-body test results within 48 hours before departure.
3)General Materials.
3.For applicants with history of COVID-19 infection
Passengers with history of COVID-19 infection refers to those who have been diagnosed with COVID-19(including the vaccinated after recovery) , or who have not been diagnosed but tested positive for PCR and ART tests and those unvaccinated who tested positive for serology (including IgM or IgG) test.
【Testing Requirements】
1)Confirmation of recovery (pre-review). After recovery, please send a healthy proof of lung CT or X-ray examination report with clearly diagnosis without inflammation at a local qualified hospital and two cross negative PCR reports (with at least 24 hours interval, PCR test must be conducted at the same time or after CT or X-ray examination) to consulatesau@163.com or consulate_jeddah@mfa.gov.cn with the title of “name+ application of recovery confirmation”.
2)Health monitoring. After receiving the response of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate for passing the application, please carry out a 6-week health monitoring.
3)Pre-departure quarantine and tests.With a good state of health after the monitoring, passengers can conduct the 14 days closed loop of self-quarantine and prepare the required health code tests .
【Submit Materials】
1)negative nucleic acid test result on the 7th day before departure.
2)negative double nucleic acid tests or nucleic acid test and IgM anti-body test results within 48 hours before boarding.
3)Vaccination certificate for the whole process.
4)the response of the Embassy or Consulate for Confirmation of recovery.
5)General Materials.
4.For applicants who have contacts with COVID-19 confirmed cases or asymptomatic infected persons
Applicants have contacts with COVID-19 confirmed cases, suspected cases or asymptomatic infected persons should conduct self-quarantine and health monitoring for at least 14 days and take PCR tests on the first, fourth and seventh day during the self-quarantine, with three negative test results, then take the PCR test on the 7th day and double PCR tests or PCR and IgM tests within 48 hours before boarding .
III. Reminders
1.Date calculation Rules
The starting time of pre-departure tests and health monitoring does not include the day of flight. For example, if the flight is on March 31,7 days before the departure date is March 24. Pre-departure quarantine and health monitoring time shall be calculated according to the above rules.

3. Submission materials requirements

2)Please note that the test result must include the passport number and the name must match the passport name.
