Notice on the Updated Requirements for the Health Code Applications

    Starting from November 13, the Chinese Embassy/Consulate General in Saudi Arabia has adjusted the pre-departure health testing requirements for those who travel from Saudi Arabia to China  as follows:

    1. Testing requirements

(1) The pre-departure test is adjusted to one PCR test within 48 hours before the flight departure.

(2) Transit passengers can choose to do PCR test at the place of origin or transit, within 48 hours of the departure time of the flight to China, and apply for the health code at the Chinese embassy or consulate at the place of testing.

(3) For those who with a history of previous infection, close contact, suspected positive PCR test results, etc., they can apply for the health code with a negative test report within 48 hours before the flight. There are no other additional requirements.

(4) PCR test reports issued by testing institutions recognized by the Saudi health department are acceptable. The test report must indicate the sampling time in hours and be stamped with the official seal of the testing institution (or with an identifiable QR code).

    2. Submit Materials:

(1) passport or travel document

(2) Valid visa, residence permit and other entry documents

(3) Air ticket itinerary

(4) Negative PCR test report

    3. Reminder:

(1) The passport number on the PCR test report should be the passport or international travel document number used for the flight, and the personal information should be consistent with the passport information.

(2) please apply for the health code at least 12 hours before the flight departure.
