On July 9, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua visited the headquarters of Asharq TV and met with Director Khalid Al-Matrafi.

Ambassador Chang Hua said that this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia has entered a new stage. The people of the two countries are more eager to enhance mutual understanding. He was very pleased to see that the Asharq TV has set up a press station in China and hoped that the Asharq TV will continue to strengthen its reporting on China and show a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive China to Saudi people.

Director Khalid Al-Matrafi expressed his gratitude to China for the facilitation and support in establishing Asharq TV press station in China.
