On August 18, 2024, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji.

Ambassador Chang Hua introduced the main spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and said that under the joint concern and strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping, King Salman, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed, relations between China and Saudi Arabia have developed rapidly, the political mutual trust between the two sides has been continuously consolidated, and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade has been continuously deepened. China attaches great importance to China-Saudi Arabia relations and is willing to strengthen mutual visits at all levels with Saudi Arabia, enhance coordination and cooperation between the two sides in international and regional affairs, and promote further development of bilateral relations.

El-Khereiji said that in recent years, relations between China and Saudi Arabia have maintained good development. At present, both countries are promoting comprehensive reforms and advancing the modernization process. Saudi Arabia is willing to strengthen friendly cooperation with China in various fields.
