On December 22, 2024, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region in Jeddah.

Ambassador Chang Hua said that under the strategic leadership of the two countries' leaders, China-Saudi Arabia relations have developed comprehensively, deeply, and rapidly, and achieved fruitful results. He expressed gratitude for the support provided by Mekkah Region in facilitating the work of the Consulate General of China in Jeddah and for providing convenience for Chinese Muslims to perform Hajj. He hopes that the local government will create a better environment for Chinese institutions and Chinese people to live and work and protect their legitimate rights and interests.

Prince Saud emphasized that Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to developing relations with China, and Makkah region is willing to actively expand practical cooperation with China. He welcomed more Chinese people to come for work, business, study and tour in the region.
