On December 11, 2024, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek, the Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Ambassador Chang Hua said that in recent years, China-GCC cooperation has achieved significant development. The two sides share many common goals, visions, and values. The foundation of cooperation is solid and there is broad development space. China is willing to further improve the level of bilateral relations and promote mutually beneficial cooperation to benefit the people of both sides.

Dr. Al-Owaishek said that China is an important strategic partner and the largest trading partner of the GCC. The GCC is willing to continuously strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China and promote the continuous consolidation and improvement of GCC-China relations.
