On January 15, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, H.E. Mr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Gusaibi. They exchanged views on bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
Mr. Yang denoted that the Sino-Saudi relations, with the mutual economic and trade cooperation in particular, had witnessed rapid development in the care of both countries' leaders since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He emphasized that the Sino-Saudi friendship and cooperation was deep-rooted on the basis of mutual respect and win-win results. China would like to make concerted efforts with Saudi Arabia to further mutual economic and trade cooperation and bring substantial benefits for the two peoples.
Mr. Gusaibi spoke highly of the current situation of the Saudi-Chinese strategic friendship and cooperation. He denoted that China was an important partner of Saudi Arabia with the ever-increasing trade volume between the two countries. The Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning would like to strengthen mutual beneficial cooperation with its Chinese counterparts in the area of economic and trade and promote the bilateral strategic friendship and cooperation to a new height.
