On July 9th, 2024, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia, Chang Hua, visited the headquarters of Saudia Airlines in Jeddah and met with the Director General of the company, Ibrahim Al-Omar.
Ambassador Chang Hua emphasized the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia, expressing China's willingness to further expand cooperation in the civil aviation sector to facilitate personnel exchanges between the two countries.
Director General Omar provided an overview of Saudia Airlines, highlighting the company’s strong focus on cooperation with China. He affirmed the airline's commitment to offering more convenience and high-quality services to support personnel exchanges between China and Saudi Arabia.
Founded in September 1946 and headquartered in Jeddah, Saudia Airlines operates a fleet of 142 aircraft, including Boeing B787-9 and Airbus A330-300, making it the largest civil aviation company in Saudi Arabia.
