On October 21, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua visited King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and met with Dr. Ahmed Alojairi, the Vice President of Administration & Finance of the university.

Ambassador Chang Hua stated that as a renowned Saudi institution of higher education, KFUPM has a long history of strong cooperation with a number of Chinese universities and institutions. He welcomed further strengthening exchanges and collaboration between the two sides in talent cultivation, energy, sustainable development, and other related fields.

Dr. Ahmed Alojairi provided an overview of KFUPM and expressed the university's willingness to enhance cooperation with Chinese universities and relevant institutions to jointly advance the academic and research capabilities of both countries in related fields.

Ambassador Chang Hua also held a discussion with Chinese students studying at the university, encouraging them to study hard, present a positive image of Chinese youth, and become effective communicators of China's stories.

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is located in Dhahran, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Established in 1963, it ranks among the top 100 universities globally in comprehensive world rankings.
