To further facilitate personnel exchanges, the Chinese government has decided to extend the unilateral visa exemption policy for 45 countries including France (as listed below) to 24:00 on December 31, 2026. Ordinary passports holders of these countries entering China for business, tourism, family visit, exchange and transit purposes can be exempted from visa requirement and can stay for no more than 30 days. Those who do not meet the conditions still need to apply for visas before entering China.
