On July 8, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna, the newly appointed Chairman of the Saudi-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Committee of Shura Council.

Ambassador Chang Hua said that this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Saudi Arabia. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the comprehensive strategic partnership has developed rapidly in recent years. He praised the Saudi-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Committee for its longstanding commitment to promoting bilateral friendship and its positive contributions to advancing cooperation in various fields.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna said that Saudi Arabia and China have a long history of friendship, the Saudi leaders and all sectors of society attach great importance to developing relations with China. The committee is willing to continue to play an active role in promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and China and benefiting the people of both countries.
