On July 24, 2025, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a reception to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The event was attended by Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia, Chang Hua, Acting Vice Minister of Interior, Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Adviser of Chief of General Staff, Major General Hazza bin Naif Al Mutairi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, representatives from various Saudi military units, diplomats and military attachés in Saudi Arabia, as well as representatives of Chinese enterprises and the Chinese community, totaling around 300 participants

Defense Attaché of the Chinese Embassy, Zhu Jie, delivered a speech reviewing the glorious combat history and development achievements of the Chinese military under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. He emphasized that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He affirmed that the Chinese military will resolutely safeguard national security, unity, and world peace. He expressed confidence that China-Saudi defense and security cooperation will advance to a higher strategic level under the guidance of the leaders of two countries.

The reception featured special exhibitions of images and videos showcasing the development of the Chinese military. The guests praised the remarkable achievements of the Chinese military and their significant contributions and active role in maintaining international and regional peace and stability.
