On August 26, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua Meets with GCC Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek.

Ambassador Chang Hua noted that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and the leaders of GCC member states, China-GCC relations have maintained strong momentum, yielding fruitful results across various fields of cooperation. He stressed that China stands ready to further enhance political mutual trust with the GCC side, strengthen coordination and collaboration on international and regional issues, and continuously enrich the substance of the China-GCC strategic partnership.

Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek stated that the GCC attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is ready to work with the Chinese side to implement the outcomes of the first China-GCC Summit and the  ASEAN-China-GCC Summit, so as to promote greater progress in China-GCC relations.
