On September 8, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baeshen, the CEO and Secretary General of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC).

Ambassador Chang Hua said that exchanges and cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in the field of sports have continued to deepen in recent years. China supports Saudi Arabia in hosting major international sports events and is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee by sharing experience in organizing events.

Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baeshen said that he had led Saudi sports delegations to China on multiple occasions to participate in competitions. He was deeply impressed by China’s extensive experience in hosting sports events and the remarkable performance of Chinese athletes. He also said that Saudi Arabia hopes to learn from China's successful experience in sports development.
