On September 9, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister of multilateral international affairs.

Ambassador Chang Hua introduced President Xi Jinping's Global Governance Initiative, stating that China will adhere to the principle of extensive consultation and joint contribution for shared benefit and promote the building of a more just and equitable global governance system and work together for a community with a shared future for humanity. Ambassador Chang Hua also elaborated on China's principled position on the Palestinian issue.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi stated that as a dialogue partner of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a country of the Global South,  Saudi Arabia supports efforts towards a multipolar world and appreciates China's impartial position on the Palestinian issue.
