On August 18, 2024, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with Yasir Al-Rumayyan, head of Saudi Arabia's economic cooperation with China, the Governor of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Chairman of Aramco’s Board of Directors.

Ambassador Chang Hua said that China attaches great importance to China-Saudi relations and is willing to work with Saudi Arabia to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen the alignment of development strategies, and promote practical cooperation in various fields. The relevant decisions of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee have drawn a grand blueprint for further deepening reform and promoting Chinese modernization, providing new opportunities for global economic development and China-Saudi cooperation. China welcomes the Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund to increase its investment in China continually, share China's opportunities, and contribute to developing China-Saudi relations.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan said that Saudi Arabia is willing to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with China, and the Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund attaches great importance to cooperation with China and is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with relevant Chinese departments and enterprises to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
