On July 11, 2024, upon his taking office in Riyadh, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua, met with Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef. Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial of the Chinese embassy Xie Qinsheng also attended.

Ambassador Chang Hua stated that under the joint leadership of the heads of China and Saudi Arabia, China-Saudi relations have entered a phase of rapid development. China is willing to continue deepening political mutual trust with Saudi Arabia, strengthen strategic alignment, explore the potential for pragmatic cooperation, and expand collaboration in fields such as industry and mining. 

Minister Al-Khorayef expressed that Saudi Arabia is committed to promoting the development of the industrial and mining sectors under the "Vision 2030" initiative and is willing to deepen cooperation with China to achieve mutual benefit, win-win results, and common development.
