On 16 March 2026, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua visited and extended greetings to representatives of Chinese community in Saudi Arabia and held discussions with them.

Ambassador Chang stated that with the recent escalation of regional tensions, the Party and the government are deeply concerned about the safety of overseas compatriots. Upholding the principle of "diplomacy for the people" has always been the unwavering tenet of China's diplomacy. The Chinese Embassy and Consulate in will continue to provide necessary assistance and consular services to overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia. Overseas Chinese themselves must also strengthen their awareness of safety precautions, remain rational, closely monitor the situation, abide by local laws and regulations, and ensure their personal and property safety. He hoped that overseas Chinese communities and individuals in Saudi Arabia would carry forward the spirit of unity and mutual assistance to overcome these difficult times together. He urged everyone to firmly believe in what FM Wang Yi said at the recent press conference during the Two Sessions: "While you may be facing a world of chaos and turbulence, you have behind you a motherland as firm as a rock."
