On September 22, 2026, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia H.E. Chang Hua was invited to visit the Expo 2030 Riyadh Site and met with Eng. Talal Al-Marri, CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh Company.

Eng. Talal Al-Marri provided an overview of the Expo site planning, overall preparations, and construction progress. He stated that Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to China’s participation and is ready to provide support and facilitation for China.

Ambassador Chang commended the progress made on the Expo site construction. He noted that China has confirmed its participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh and is actively advancing relevant preparations, expressing a willingness to maintain close communication and coordination with Saudi Arabia to ensure a spectacular presentation of the China Pavilion.
