On January 19, 2026, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Chang Hua, met with Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the OIC in Jeddah.

Ambassador Chang noted that in recent years, China and Islamic countries as well as the OIC have continuously deepened mutual trust, expanded cooperation across various fields, strengthened exchanges among civilizations, and achieved fruitful results. China welcomes the OIC’s resolutions on multiple occasions incorporating language friendly to China. China will continue to work with Islamic countries and the OIC to promote the steady progress of bilateral relations.  

Taha stated that the OIC and its member states value their relations with China and are willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China across various fields, enhance communication on international and regional hot-button issues, and elevate Islamic-Chinese relations to new heights.
