Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia and Representative of China to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Chang Hua Meets with OIC Assistant Secretary-General Mr. Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Dobeay

On 6 May 2026, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia and Representative of China to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Chang Hua, met with OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Dobeay in Jeddah.

Ambassador Chang stated that China has always attached great importance to developing relations with Islamic countries and the OIC from a strategic perspective, and appreciates the steadfast support Islamic countries and the OIC have given China on the Xinjiang-related issues and the Taiwan question. China is ready to work with Islamic countries and the OIC to strengthen political mutual trust, enhance strategic coordination, render firm mutual support, deepen practical cooperation, promote political solutions to regional hotspot issues, oppose power politics and bullying, and maintain peace and stability in the Middle East.

Mr. Al-Dobeay stated that Secretary General of the OIC Hissein Brahim Taha’s visit to China earlier this year was a complete success. The OIC upholds the one-China principle, appreciates the significant development achievements in Xinjiang, and opposes external forces interfering in China’s internal affairs. He noted that China has consistently upheld fairness and justice and made positive contributions to resolving international and regional hotspot issues, and expressed hope that China will continue to play a greater role.
