On October 21, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua met with His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Emir of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, in Dammam.

Ambassador Chang Hua noted that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership has been continuously deepened with fruitful outcomes in cooperation across various fields. He noted that practical cooperation between Chinese entities—including provinces and enterprises—and the Eastern Province is advancing steadily, with a significant number of Chinese people living, working, and studying in the region. He expressed the hope that the relevant Eastern Province authorities would continue to effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese institutions and people, thereby creating a favorable environment for deeper cooperation and making greater contributions to the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

HRH Prince Saud Bin Naif stated that the Saudi Arabia-China comprehensive strategic partnership has been continuously enriched, and China's development achievements have won worldwide admiration. He emphasized that the Eastern Province attaches great importance to deepening cooperation with China and welcomes more Chinese enterprises and people to pursue development in the region.
