On September 28, 2026, Embassy of China in Saudi Arabia held a reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The event was attended by over 600 guests, including the Mayor of Riyadh Region H.H. Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, senior Saudi political and military officials, friends from various sectors, envoys from other countries to Saudi Arabia and representatives of Chinese enterprises and the overseas Chinese community.

    Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia H.E. Chang Hua delivered a speech at the reception, in which he reviewed the remarkable achievements made over the 77 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China and highlighted the new progress in Chinese path to modernization achieved in the first year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. He also outlined the four global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, as well as a series of initiatives and proposals aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East. He emphasized that China is willing to take the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership as an opportunity to work with Saudi Arabia to deepen strategic mutual trust and cooperation across all fields.

    The event featured a robot performance and the screening of a promotional video. Guests congratulated China on its achievements in economic and social development and commended China’s diplomatic philosophy and practices in actively promoting peace, stability, and development in the Middle East as a responsible major country.
