On June 16, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Chang Hua, met with Mr. Mohammed Abd Rabbuh Al-Yami, Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), in Jeddah.

Ambassador Chang Hua said that the friendship between China and the OIC has a long history and bilateral cooperation in various fields has flourished in recent years. He emphasized that the news media serves as an important window for conveying correct values and enhancing mutual understanding between civilizations. China is willing to strengthen communication and exchanges with UNA to promote dialogue between Chinese and Islamic civilizations, enhance cultural exchanges and foster stronger people-to-people connectivity.

Mr. Al-Yami spoke highly of the achievements in cooperation between China and the OIC across various fields and expressed willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in areas such as news media to enhance mutual understanding.
