On August 6, 2025, Ambassador of China to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Chang Hua, met with Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the OIC in Jeddah.

Ambassador Chang Hua said China appreciated that the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting, recently held in Istanbul, had incorporated China-friendly language into its resolution for the sixth consecutive year. He added that OIC delegations and representatives from member states have visited China multiple times, including Xinjiang province, gaining a deeper understanding of China’s ethnic and religious policies as well as Xinjiang’s development and progress, and spoke positively of what they witnessed. China is willing to deepen practical cooperation with the OIC and its member states and promote mutual learning among civilizations. Ambassador Chang Hua also presented China's principled position on the Palestinian issue.

Secretary-General Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha spoke highly of the Chinese government's ethnic and religious policies and China’s just stance on the Palestinian issue. He said that the OIC is willing to carry on its traditional friendship with China, enhance exchanges and cooperation in education, science, technology, culture, and other fields, and jointly advance greater development in OIC-China relations.
