President of Saudi Control and Investigation Board expected to launch cooperation with China

  On January 9, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the President of the Saudi Control and Investigation Board, H.E. Mr. A. Al-Nafi'a. They exchanged views on strengthening Sino-Saudi cooperation in the area of supervision.

  H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin denoted that the Sino-Saudi exchanges were long standing with deep-rooted friendship between the two peoples. Fruitful achievements had been made in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that China attached great importance to the vital influence of Saudi Arabia in the Islamic and Arab world and would like to join hands with Saudi Arabia to promote mutual cooperation in the area of supervision.

  H.E. Mr. Nafi'a welcomed H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin's arrival as the new Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while spoke highly of the current Saudi-Chinese relations. He denoted that the bilateral relations had stepped into a new era with blueprint for further development charted by the head of state of both countries since their exchange of visits. Both Saudi Arabia and China pursued the foreign policy of peace and upheld identical or similar positions on major regional and international issues. Therefore, bilateral relations between the two countries enjoyed a solid foundation and a bright prospect. He also expressed his wish to enhance cooperation and learn from each other between the Saudi Control and Investigation Board and its Chinese counterparts.
