On January 26, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin met with the Director General of Makkah Branch of the Saudi Foreign Ministry, H.E. Ambassador Mohammad in Jeddah. They exchanged opinions on strengthening Sino-Saudi relations.
Mr. Yang denoted that mutual cooperation had been witnessing smooth development between the two countries in the areas of politics, trade and culture since the establishment of diplomatic relations. He emphasized that China and Saudi Arabia were sincere friends and good partners. China attached great importance to the vital influence of Saudi Arabia in the region and the whole world and would like to enhance strategic friendship and cooperation between the two countries on the basis of mutual respect, mutual benefits and win-win results.
Ambassador Mohammad spoke highly of the friendship between the two countries and the just position upheld by China in regional and international affairs. He denoted that Saudi Arabia would like to make concerted efforts with China to safeguard world peace and promote common development.
